Spreading the word...

One event at a time! If you've read my Message from the President...and why wouldn't you???....you know that the CMNA purchased a canopy, table runners and vinyl banners, and rack cards so that we can attend festivals and set up a table or two (kindly donated by my wife and Dave Eslinger) to share with the public what we do and learn about as Master Naturalists.

You may also remember a few months ago, Master Naturalists from across the State were invited to attend a training session from SCDNR, and those of you that attended that training, myself included, are now part of a team of SCDNR/CMNA volunteers that are able to volunteer on SCDNR properties as 'roving naturalists' and attend specific SCDNR tabling events.

A few weeks ago I accepted a very generous donation of table top goodies from the SCDNR with which our SCDNR team can attend tabling events, and our first official event was to celebrate national Public Lands day at the REI in Mt Pleasant where I was joined by Anne Acuna, and we chatted with upwards of 30 people, so it was a good day!

This year we've been able to attend the Bulls Bay Festival, the Pollinator Festival at Ashley River Park, the Public Lands Day celebration, and the Lowcountry 4-H Convention Community Resources Fair at the Clemson Learning Center at the Citadel Mall.
