The Carl Cole Service Award goes to...
Valerie Luzadder!
Valerie became the 2025 recipient of the award as she logged over 400 hours of volunteer time in 2025, showing a dedication to her causes that few other volunteers have. She was active in the following roles:
- Dolphin Education with Lowcountry Marine Mammals
- Member of Standing Team for LMMN
- Inspected and Maintained 70 bluebird houses on Seabrook
- Bluebird Trail monitor on Seabrook
- Turtle Patrol volunteer on Seabrook
- Member of Board of Directors Seabrook Island Birders
- Purple Martin (PUMA) volunteer at Johns Island Park
- PACE committee member for Conservancy of the Sea Islands (formerly Kiawah Conservancy)
It took some behind the scenes work to make sure Valerie came to the meeting and to keep her award a surprise, so big thanks go to her husband Pat, and friend Jane Ford!
Well done Valerie and thanks for being an inspiration to us all!
