Caterpillars on Wax Myrtles?...
Hey all,
Jay Keck of the South Carolina Wildlife Federation is interested in the caterpillar population on the Common Wax Myrtle, Morella cerifera. If you know where this plant resides, could you look it over from time to time to see if any caterpillars are residing there?
If so, can you get an ID of the caterpillar and/or send Jay a photo of the caterpillar? You can reach him at jay@scwf.org.
I know he would appreciate any input you might be able to give him for his research.
Thank you all very much,
Scott Wietecha
