Join the SC Aquarium Eco-challenge team...

Hello Eco-challenge friends and community partners,

For the last three years, the South Carolina Aquarium has joined the global Plastic Free July movement to reduce plastic consumption by hosting a team in the Plastic Free Eco-challenge.

The Challenge runs from July1-31, 2025!

In the previous three years, the South Carolina Aquarium team has made a strong showing and most recently ended the challenge by coming in 7th out of 137 teams! Many of you were on our team in past years.
Our 2025 team is registered and ready to engage even more friends and community partners in the month-long event, Beyond Plastic Eco-challenge 2025.

Please join us in addressing plastic pollution through collective action:

REGISTER NOW

Once you register and create a profile, check out the daily or one-time actions and decide what works for you. Put your actions to work starting Tuesday, July 1 and log your activity daily to earn points. Track our team’s progress on the leaderboard and be part of the global movement to address the plastic problem! We can all work together to create new habits and a better world.

Thank you,

Linda Rowe
Lead Coordinator of Conservation
South Carolina Aquarium
