Starting the new year ...
January always sees us celebrate the graduation of the Fall Class from the previous year, and conduct our Annual General Association meeting.
Although the weather was a little chilly, there was a very good turnout this year, and we had a lot of Association business to take care of. There was the usual inauguration of the new and incumbent Board Members, but this year was especially poignant as it was Dave's last meeting as President.
As such, based on his dedication and commitment to steer the Association these last 4 years, Dave was the recipient of the Carl Cole Service Award!
Kristina's reminder of why this award is made each year was certainly poignant and touching, and Dave is undoubtedly a deserving recipient! Congratulations Dave, and thank you for your service in this role, however, we look forward to that service continuing with your new role as Advisor to the Board!
After the celebrations and Association business, there was of course a ramble around McLeod Plantation
...and Dave managed to find some flowering Spanish Moss which he shared with the group.
Finally, we finished the afternoon beside the fire enjoying smores!
No photos of that...because I was busy enjoying smores!!
Thank you to all those that came out, and to the people who volunteered their help setting up the tables and food, and congratulations to the graduates who are just starting their journey with us at the CMNA!
